About the Founder
After more than two decades in the banking profession, I came to recognize a gap in the market. While men had access to custom clothing experiences tailored to their preferences, fit, and individuality, women were often left to adapt to ready-to-wear options that rarely offered the same level of personalization.
I founded Humming & Hibiscus to create a different experience one that begins not with the garment, but with the woman.
Through colour, silhouette, fabric, and thoughtful design, we create clothing that reflects the individuality of the women who wear it. Each piece is intentionally designed around her colouring, proportions, lifestyle, and personal style.
Rooted in my Caribbean heritage and inspired by my grandfather’s legacy as a tailor in Guyana, the brand draws inspiration from the hummingbird and hibiscus symbols of vibrant and expressive colour, radiance, beauty, individuality, and transformation. Together, they embody a philosophy that style should feel deeply personal and uniquely your own.
At Humming & Hibiscus, we believe true style begins with the woman. The clothing she wears should be an extension of her identity enhancing not only how she looks, but how she feels.
